Get ready to experience the transformative power of Restorative Yoga enhanced with Reiki!

Get ready to experience the transformative power of Restorative Yoga enhanced with Reiki! Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing practice, where healing flows through the gentle touch of hands, bringing balance, harmony, and deep restoration to your mind, body and spirit. This workshop is designed to help you reconnect with your higher self, leaving you feeling refreshed, aligned and deeply relaxed.  Don't miss this chance to tap into your inner healing and unlock a new level of peace and well-being.

Participants will be guided into comforting and calming Restorative Yoga postures by Becky while Lindsay offers the gift of Reiki.

The aim of Restorative yoga is to bring your nervous system into the rest and digest (parasympathetic) response. Many of us spend too much time stressed out and find it difficult to relax. Restorative yoga is one way to counteract that reality.  A Restorative yoga class begins with very gentle warm up poses to release tension.  This is followed by a series of  restful poses, held for several minutes while supported by props in a calming environment. A single class can make for a peaceful hour, allowing yourself to recharge and recover. But when done consistently, over time, Restorative yoga helps to train your body and mind to bring down the base stress level and come back to that level more quickly after a stressful incident. This is called resilience.  Being able to come back to a healthy stress level quickly may help to reduce blood pressure, heart rate and anxiety, improve sleep and cognition, provide emotional balance and strengthen the immune system.

Becky Jauch - 500 RYT-  has been practicing yoga for close to 30 years and loves to share its benefits with others. She has taken extensive training in Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga and Accessible yoga in addition to her teacher training here at Shine.

Lindsay Schaultz holds her Level I-II Reiki Certification and is a certified yoga teacher. Lindsay currently teaches Mindful Yoga Flow at Shine on Mondays at 9:30 and Fridays at 11:30. She believes everything we need is already within us and she hopes to help practitioners make that connection. Lindsay hopes to help practitioners make a beautiful mind-body connection and cultivate a deep inner sense of peace, connection, clarity, and joy.

We work very hard in our lives, and while we may sleep, we rarely take time to relax. Restorative yoga poses help us learn to rest deeply and completely.”   -- Judith Hanson Lasater, PhD.
